Even though the air was thick, even in the early morning hours, this did not dissuade members and guests from attending Bible study and worship service at Vine Street Baptist Church.
The service began with a reading of Psalm 15 and prayer by Deacon Chandler Bainter, followed by worship songs led by Worship Leader Jacob Hatcher.
- Holy, Holy, Holy
- Our God
After some fellowship and greeting guests, Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders gave some announcements, focusing much attention on the annual Back to School Bash. Sunders recapped the current sermon series and noted that several updates have been posted on the Ministry Map wall in the back of the worship center. After a pastoral prayer, Doug Hanna read Ephesians 3:14-19, then Worship Leader Jamie Hatcher led more singing:
- Great is Thy Faithfulness
- How Great Thou Art
After Deacon Joe Gross prayed for the offering, collection plates were passed while the Hatchers played their instruments in the background.
