“HE is Risen! HE is risen indeed.” This is the proclamation of many of the members of Vine Street Baptist Church on Easter Sunday. Many smiles, handshakes and hugs were freely given and warmly received by all who came today.
The service was opened when Deacon Joe Gross read Luke 24:1-12 and said a prayer. Co-worship Leader Jaime Hatcher led the gathered in singing Christ Is Risen, a song that speaks to Jesus’ victory over death. Co-worship Leader Jacob Hatcher then welcomed all the guests, both first time and returning, and the members of Vine Street, encouraging all that proceeded into a time of fellowship.
To conclude the fellowship time, Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders drew attention to a few announcements, then said a pastoral prayer about the day. Josh Bertsch read 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, then everyone sang songs of praise and victory.

After Deacon Donnie Aebersold said a prayer for the offering, church youth member Levi Bainter sang At the Cross (Love Ran Red), while both Jaime and Jacob Hatcher provided the music.

After the sermon, believers in Christ were invited to participate in the Lord’s Supper, while those who have not yet accepted Jesus as the Savior of their lives were invited to think about the message and take Christ. The congregation sang Christ is Risen again to close the service.
